Yeah, it doesn't really matter THAT much, the game is pretty linear but gives the illusion of choice and making a difference, and when it makes a difference it doesn't reach that far really. A few different lines or something, but specific "key-points" will happen no matter what. But I don't really think that's a negative thing, the focus of the game is the emotional investment and immersion. My advise is to not play the games multiple times, or else these "design choices" will become pretty transparent.
