Nearly every move is better in the anime since it can be used in more ways. That and/or they do move damage than they normally would.

-Gliscor(sp) flipping in the air so that he can't be hurt after using giga impact.
-Charizard using flame thrower while using seismic toss to boost its damage
-Screech doing damage
-flare blitz while digging to heat up the battle field to get rid of the spikes



At the same time, nearly every move can be considered worse since there's a lot less direct hits in the anime. Things like evasion happening so much more, and being able to use moves to block other moves.
