Granted Aqua/Magma were a step in the right direction but still. I would like to see the final fight with the Evil Team have that Boss's levels around 80. Look at Giovanni's last Rocket fight in Red. Highest was Level 41. Aqua - HIghest = Level 43.

We need a real intimidating team who we can actually believe could legitimately pose a serious threat to a nation

How about a team that actually fights with intelligence instead of sticking strictly to one type of pokemon like idiots?

The villainous team would have to actually be full-time trainers for any sort of competence in battle. A level 80 boss already exceeds Champions thus far whereas the early 40s corresponds to the levels of the last or second-last gym, more or less, which is when their schemes are usually foiled.

If there must be a villainous team, give them personalities and make them distinctive individuals who require outside-the-box thinking to defeat (instead of their boss losing once or an arbitrary number of times).

Need? No.

It would be nice, however.

I could see a villainous team using the steel or dragon types in future Pokemon games. Maybe the group's theme could be digital or electronic based Pokemon like Porygon or Magnemite.
I just cant sit any other way than this. If I sit the way other people do, my reasoning ability drops by 40%.

I'm not easily impressed; I'm usually oblivious to whatever's in front of me.
