No it's not. You just assume that all franchises get better with each game. They don't.

ROFL, do you even know anything about hardcore? There isn't anything more hardcore than competitive players and I doubt any competitive players consider 4th their least favorite what with all the advances it gave to the competitive metagame. I don't know how you get 2>=3 for hardcores either, that's so random. You don't know what you're talking about, your Pokemon experience isn't big enough.
