For those who have watched the first two episodes, what do you think about it?

I think the battle scenes were very well done. Pacing and music was good as well. The new opening song was worth listening to over and over again. And Ash's partners seem to be more helpful than before.

I'm interested. Do they treat it any more maturely?

I haven't watched yet. But I'm not watching the horribly dubbed american version.

It's an anime aimed at kids. And it's gonna be aimed at kids until it's over.

TC, have you ever noticed anyone on this board with a name just like yours, except backwards?

On topic I like it. I admit I can completely ignore Ash's stupidity and watch the show simply to see the new Pokemon animated, what they sound like and the battles.

Difficult to tell from the first two episodes, but I personally think that the battles are more intense than ever.

Yes, that was not my name at the beginning. Note that my account is more than 10 years old. Many things happened.

And glad you liked the anime.

Surprisingly great. It seems the writers are doing their best to avoid Unova Ash. Citron's Bunnelby put up a fight but it was clear that Citron himself is a great trainer so It wasn't ridiculous. They have definitely up'ed their game going by past starting episodes. I have not looked forward to a weekly episode of pokemon since the sinnoh league. I only watch the subbed episodes btw if that matters.

Just watched it and within barely an episode and half of screentime Froakie has earned the title of Ash's most badass pokemon ever. Shame it's never going to evolve.
