Hey, I got 80/80. Seriously though, just curious if there's a way to make it more likely that I'll hatch a shiny, as I have a couple pokes that I'd like shinies of and am willing to breed until I get one, but if there's a way to do it more efficiently then I'd love to know that first.

1. shiny pokemon are actually no different than regular pokemon in terms of breeding.

2. The "Masuda Method", which is the act of breeding two pokemon from differing regions, greatly increases the chances of the offspring being shiny.

Alrighty, so that's what the masuda method is. So do they both need to be from a different region than I'm from, or does that not matter?

They need to be a different region from each other IIRC.

Alright, but one can be from my region and the other doesn't matter then I take it, awesome. Any clue if it works if one of them is a ditto?

Yes - in fact, a foreign Ditto is often sought after by most breeders.

It does work if the one is a ditto.

That is generally why people want a foreign Ditto

Now it makes sense...awesome, thank you all. (Particularly because I think my ditto is foreign already, have to go check though)
