The problem with Fairy types is that most suck. The only ones (other than of course Xerneas) I expect to be used in higher tiers are Azumarill, Gardevoir, Sylveon and Clefable. Most have too terrible of stats or are out classed by the 4 seen above or other Pokemon to make use of their awesome typing.
I feel like fairy type moves will be very popular for non fairy pokemon. I fully expect a lot of people to run Dazzling Gleam and Rough Play as an amazing coverage move.
I'd really like if they removed its advantages against Dark and Bug.
Both were completely needless.
Bug especially. Just... Why?
I agree with bug, but I think the dark resistance was justified. Think about it, dark types can hit steel neutral now. That means only fighting and other dark types would resist it, which is a bit too good imo.
Well if you wanna put logic behind it. Dragons are creatures that are weak to magic, fairies are magical creates. And it kind of ruins the fun of the game that one type can wreck house and the type that's meant to wall it is barely used
