I got them off Ebay [Woo.] Both seem to play perfectly fine.

Start a game up and it says [The previous save file will be loaded.]
Pal Park in Platinum doesn't offer me a migrate option for either cart.

Grateful for any help in determining this.

You just answered you own question.

Anyway check the connectors, do you see a Nintendo logo in the back, use a flashlight

People actually openly sell fake gen-4/5 carts :/ in ebay, so urhhh...yeah, sorry, I have a feeling its fake

Definitely bootlegs.

The 'previous save file will be loaded' is the result of a hack applied to the game so that it can use SRAM instead of Flash RAM which the official GBA Releases of Fr/E used.
