I'm talking about on the numerous American sites I've seen. There's at least four or five major ones, and BBC is the first UK one I've seen do it

Even the Canadians are guilty


"hate" is too strong a word though. Being able to self-depreciate your own country is a good thing etccc

Every country is equally guilty of getting facts wrong.

People just like to exaggerate America's role in it because of little brother complexes that most countries still have (for whatever reason).
