Well, once I tanked v-creates from a victini with a +6 attack and defense mega aggron (from repeated uses of curse) and kept resting and sleep talking. I gotta admit.... it wasn't fun for either of us. Him because he simply can't smash through Mega aggron before he wakes up and uses rest again. And me cuz sleep talk just won't choose Heavy Slam to end victini's misery. He forfeited after he ran out of v-creates.

It depends on what you mean by 'stall'. If you mean Pokemon that are built defensively with moves like Substitute and Toxic, that's a very legitimate strategy that results in some intense games. If you mean stalling like stalling out the clock, waiting the maximum time for every move in the hopes that your opponent will give up, that's unsportsmanlike and deplorable.
I couldn't agree more. Which is why I wait out time-stalling. Not gonna give them the satisfaction of winning with such a cheap strategy, nor the satisfaction of getting to me. Rather, I think of how ticked they must be that I'm not quitting. :)
anytime someone tries to time-stall me on showdown i just open up another battle and play someone else till it comes back. it helps to remind the cretin that they're wasting their own time & not yours ;p
