With the presence of Excadrill, Scizor, Venusaur and others, I don't see how. =/
How is it that I can level up this account?

Who said its broken?
Nice of you to say, but you of all people should know.. there's plenty wrong with me. Take my blood for example. I wish someday would. This stuff is killing me!

I am just upset about Fairy being super effective against dark AND resist it at the same time. I would have rather wanted them to be super effective against each other, rather then the one being superior to the other.
Maybe then, the fairy typing wouldn't be so overpowered.

It's not broken, but it is very good.

It's good. Look at what it did for some terribad Pokemon like Gardevoir, Clefable and Azumarill. We are just lucky there are no pseudo legendary Pokemon with Fairy typing yet. 600 BST plus a decent type always hurts.

But don't get me wrong. It is far from broken.

Dark type doesn't need any more of a buff. If anything, the Fairy type should be resisted by Ice types since they are in dire need of a buff.

The metagame is so large, that to outsiders, Fairy looks viable, just because of the amount of Pokemon that was kinda so-so, suddenly gaining a new lease on life. like Mega Evolutions for Gardevoir and Mawile was probably great boons for them. Klefki's staller/annoyer potential was inevitably seen, even without breeding, Prankster can open a few doors and steel/fairy can cover quite a few types with surprising amount of resistances to common's still a risk from direct fire moves or Earthquake, but the meta shifted to doubles/triples, so having skill-changing moves is probably advised anyway.

pre-gen VI, Azumarill's resistances were 1/2 steel, Dragon/Dark/Fighting/Bug/Poison was 1x. becoming part-fairy did add a 2x poison weakness, but became immune to dragon. Fight/Fire/Water/Bug/Ice/Dark is only half damage, so thematically although Fairies are weak to Ice, being part-water made it resist it to a degree.

I do like that they've made Steel and Poison have a use. What I don't like is that most of the fairy pokemon they've made have a secondary that resists - or is outright immune to - one or both of the two types.
