Hey, I just beat the third gym and I'm not feeling my team. It doesn't lose, it's just not feeling as covered as usual.

So right now I have a lv40 Blastoise and Chesnaught. Will probably keep them both for typing. Next up is a lv35 Crobat because I didn't want to be boring and use pidgeot or talonflame. Then I have a of 34 houndoom and 34 honedge.
And I just got finally found an eevee that I'm not sure if should become espeon or jolteon.

But at the same time I would rather try out new Pokemon and see what they do. I don't care for fairy types so what should I be going after?

Hi! Your team right now is pretty good! I suggest keeping Blastoise and Chesnaught (For typing) and Houndoom (works well against defensive and offensive teams, especially when Mega-Evolved) You should evolve your Eevee to Jolteon because it is fast, will be able to move first and has a decent Special Attack. Although you mentioned that you're not keen on fairy types, I suggest you try them out. Before I had battled with them, I felt the same way as you on Fairy Pokes (Thought they were wimpy). When you actually battle with a Fairy Type though, you realize how powerful they actually are! They are one of the most powerful typings in the game, are immune to Dragon Types and have only 2 weaknesses: Poison and Steel. 3 good Fairy types I recommend are Gardevoir (can Mega-Evolve), Sylveon (also an option for Eevee) and Altaria (Is Fairy/Dragon when Mega-Evolved making it even stronger because of typing). Finally have a Riolu or Lucario on your team (which you get after Gym 3). They are great offensively and have above average speed. With a Mega Stone, they have even more power and then become an Uber (Very strong Pokémon that mainly consist of Legendaries). Hope that helps and good luck!

The problem I have with fairy is that's a stupid type. I have a lv 35 snubble and steel vs that is stupid. Makes no sense.

I want to try new Pokemon, but electric got screwed this gen and therefore jolteon is one of the best options. I don't want raichu, that's too easy.

Luvario even though he has a mega version also doubles up on my fighting and also steel type with Chesnaught and Honedge so no. Also still an old pokemon. I want more variety with new guys to try. I've never used mega houndoom so half my team is set. I just don't know if Jolteon, Aeigislash??, or crobat evens out the rest of it.

To be fair i also have a lv36 talonflame, 38 snorlax, and 34 kirlia. But they're all old types and I want new. Even with gallade as an option.

Are you only looking for Pokémon that are new to this Gen?

No one has any advice? I just beat 7th gym. Would like advice before it's too late and endgame. I want to move on to sun or moon, haven't played them yet.
