Not bug or poison? Like the name suggests, this thing is a flying scorpion. At least something like worms tunnel

Gliscor is a pokemon based off a scorpion, yes, but its based off of a family of the scorpion, which is known as Panoridae, or flying scorpions. While yes, it is also an insect, it does not feed off of normal insect things. The flying scorpion is actually a scavenger, eating such things as rotten fruit, other dead insects and rarely, nectars, which gives reason to the ground typing. Gliscor is not a bug type because the Panoridae really isnt that much of a bug either.

GameFreak thought that scorpions that fly should be ground type as they wanted a diverse dual type.
