On the official website in the credits it says Xenoblade Chronicles (tm) X Implying that they are going to use the Xenoblade name to represent the series from now on regardless of whether it's directly related or not.
how times has the universe been recreated by the Zanza?
this could be the one where he got the Monado.
There is no need for a prequel to explain that. Xenoblade does a perfectly fine job explaining the Monado's origins. Also, keep in mind that Xenoblade was originally called Monado: Beginning of the World. It was named after the Xeno games to do tribute to its creator. As such, Xenoblade Chronicles X is considered a spiritual sequel. It's a game in the same franchise and a new Xenoblade Chronicle, but it most likely doesn't have a Monado (ignoring the reference in that one chick's hair).
