I died at that jump quite a few times. I was able to get the hang of the diagonal jump to the bottom right, but the jump up to the button was really frustrating. I could never figure out what would give the 'chime' boost, and I became pretty superstitious in how to move around. For whatever reason, the two pads at the top next to the button always gave the 'chime' boost to get me back. When I.. finally.. made it up there, was the time I was able to continue.
My experience is similar to nineteenday's. I found the first jump hard, but mostly because I was trying to run in the directions of the booster. So I would go left, down, jump. It wasn't so bad once I just ran diagonally across the pads. The second jump was hard as well though, because I couldn't reliably get the chime to work.
You don't have time to ponder such questions, as Bruce Willis has just grabbed a jet plane.
