Holy crap it's only a little over a month old. I just got it via amazons Black Friday sale and after watching the tutorial videos the MP
actually looks like it would be fun to play but I haven't been able to find a match all night.

This is why most games shouldn't bother devoting assets to MP unless their name is CoD, Battlefield or Halo (or one of the other big ones). They could've used some of that money to make a longer, more stable SP campaign. Anyways if any of you want to get down on some MP, add me- saktapking

Too many issues that stopped it ever really taking off.

1. Glitches
2. Bad servers
3. Awful matchmaking

I mean, no one likes sitting around in a lobby waiting for 7 other people to join and actually stay before you can even start the damn game. Should have been more like Left 4 Dead, when you have at least one person on each team you can start it and let other people just join randomly and jump right into the fun, no disconnects setting anyone back unless it was the final person on a team.
You're only a cheater in the eyes of someone who has yet to gain the knowledge to do what you can do.

This would have been nice. Although I can already see people complaining how AI-controlled bot teammates would be either overpowered or useless.

I was finally able to play one match last night and I ended up as Batman. We ended up winning and it seemed to go smoothly other than actually getting into a match. The worst thing is, this damn game has like 10 or so trophies specifically dedicated to this dead, broken MP aspect.

I've NEVER gotten into a match. The game either freezes or I'm stuck in a lobby that never fills. I know the MP isn't technically broken since some people can get games, but for all intents and purposes, this MP is broken to me.

Oh I'd consider it broken, it took me close to 30 minutes of not being able to find a match, connecting then freezing and then actually waiting for a lobby to fill to get into the match. Completely unacceptable but it was fun once I was actually able to play it. I just wonder what the hell compelled WB Montreal to release this hot mess? With the framerate issues and all, this game easily could've spent another month or two in the oven.

They're following the "ship now, patch later" policy, where in most cases, the patches don't happen, & if they do, it doesn't fix the important issues & by the time the patch is out, nobody cares anymore. If they patched the MP, it'd be a waste of time. It will still be a ghost town.

Borderlands is the gaming equivalent of a Jason Friedberg/Aaron Seltzer, or Michael Bay movie. This can't be disputed.

I'm glad I only spent $30 bucks on this game on sale. I defeated Deathstroke in the storyline and have only encountered one or two brief framerate dips which, while inexcusable, weren't nearly as bad as some of the videos I've seen online so I'm thankful for that. It's a shame too because had they spent a little more time on it, it easily could've garnered higher review scores and the one match of MP i was able to get into (was Batman) seemed like it could be a lot of fun. It's a shame so many developers take this route nowadays it seems.

Developers can get away with not patching games if the intial sales suck. Arkham Origins probably lost money for WB Interactive.

Arkham Asylum sold over 7 million units world wide
Arkham City sold over 10 million units world wide
Arkham Origins is around 1.6 million units world wide so far. It'll flatline at 2 million in a few months.
