...Far Cry 3. It's not Far Cry 3, it's an entirely different game. It's not an add-on, or DLC, or anything even related to FC3 as far as I can tell. They should at least call it "Far Cry: Blood Dragon".
Because it's basically a mod of Farcry 3. I think some guy just threw this together one day and the rest of the team decided it was awesome and fleshed it out. I don't think this was actually intended DLC.
It's the exact same game engine and gameplay mechanics, animations.... Even the map screen is exactly the same. The title is appropriate.
Bingo. If you take a moment to stop and think, you'll realise that it actually is Far Cry 3. It just got a new paint job and a bunch of cool retro cutscenes and dialogue swapped in over the vanilla ones.
With how awesome this looks, I'm hoping more of these 80s inspired mods come out for other games. As long as they're done properly with the appropriate love, attention and humour of course, and not just slapped together and rushed out to cash in on a new "craze" or "trend"... that would be disappointing.
Mendez: If we shoot, we break twelve years of peace. Governor Kolp: Yes, it has been rather boring, hasn't it.
