yeah, that's the thing about ocarina of time - it feels kind of immortal because of the way it's constructed and because of how universally classic the fairy tale all is

majora's mask is twisted, unique, and personal - and thus it feels more like (as you might put it) an arthouse piece
yet all sailors of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness
MM is one of those games I appreciate more and more as I get older. It's certainly not without flaw but it's strengths are very, very strong. One of the best atmospheres in any game. In comparison OoT loses a bit of luster as more and more games build upon what it did.

Also, Song of Healing is the best song in the Zelda series.
Black Turtle did a pretty good job.

Ocarina of Time, the game blessed by the heavens

It only took a decade to make you understand

But yes, I enjoyed your thoughts and liked reading about your adventure! IIRC you haven't played any of the other 3D Zeldas? I'm not sure what you'd think of them but would guess you wouldn't dig TP or SS. They both take a while to get going and SS has some abysmal use of motion controls. Wind Waker has some pacing issues as well, but they aren't horribly (until the end), and that game has enough charm to overcome those problems. OoT and MM are generally considered the twin-kings, though.

I think he said he played WW a long time ago and didn't really like it.
My bracket got smashed by DpObliVion.
Congrats to DpObliVion for winning the BGE15 Guru Contest!
WW aint great.

I don't think tran would care much for the other 3D outings. TP is basically OoT with wolf link/horse combat thrown in, and SS has a lot of unfortunate issues that add up to make it less of an experience than it should be.
Black Turtle did a pretty good job.

yeah, I beat Wind Waker in 2003. it's why I never played another 3d Zelda. it was... fine? maybe less than that, but not offensive. just booooring.

Ah cool. Yeah, I'm not sure how you'd feel about the other two. It seems like you had a real appreciation for the dungeons, and to that end, I'd say that both TP and SS have some of the best designed dungeons in the series (waaaay better than Wind Waker), but they're plagued by some bleh problems.
