While protecting Queen Minnie in her castle, why do you need to call her over?

That part makes no sense to me. Does she not have any common sense? The path is literally a straight line. How does she need Sora to guide her to the throne in her own throne room? I get that the place is being invaded at the moment, but how does that stop her from advancing on her own? She's the queen and she needs to take orders from a boy?

She has absolutely no way of protecting herself apart from using Pearl and teaming with Sora to use Faith. Sora, on the other hand, has more than one way of defeating the Heartless blocking their path.
Well, what does little miss "I'm so special the Fade shines out my bum" want from me?
