Anyway, I imagine you could simply send the .app files to the trash without issue like any other app.

Whenever I set up a new Mac, I always just do a clean install of the OS, so there's no iLife apps or anything else and then install the iLife apps I actually use (which is only GarageBand, actually). If she's been using the computer for a while, you probably don't want to do that.

And yeah, she'll be able to re-download them.

Thanks, doubt she'll ever need them so just told her to delete them.

So far there has been no indication that this individual plays games at all and in the realm of ultrabooks the competition isn't as clear cut as you are trying to think it is. This is coming from someone who would recommend a similarly priced sager over near any macbook in 99% of cases too. Just give it up, you're making yourself look like a fool.
