On a more serious note, how much should I expect to spend on a decent speaker and sub setup for the desktop I plan to build?

Also, how much memory is ideal at this point for a not-quite-hardcore gaming and occasional video editing and audio recording setup?

Why Opteron?

It's been a long time since they've been useful on server boards or pin mods.

I'll be listening to music constantly. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile but being a musician I can generally tell good sound quality from bad. Would 50ish dollars get me something good?
