I am looking to buy some good quality and affordable headphones primarily used for gaming and listening to music.

The Samson SR850 will it work fine with onboard realtek sound?
Without a dedicated sound card would the SR850 still have good sound quality?

Alright, I just bought these for $30 and I RECOMMEND THEM SO MUCH.

Pros:

-Low clamping force
-Pretty comfy, ears aren't soar after 2 hours of straight music/counter strike :P
-POWERFUL BASS
-Very high quality sound, hearing instruments in songs I never heard before <_<

Cons:

-10 feet cord is a little much for me not too much trouble <_<
-Ears become very warm

I don't have a dedicated soundcard, I don't know how it would affect it but the sounds are quite amazing.

If you want something more portable, I hear Koss Portapros are a tad bit less in quality but just as good...if that makes sense.

Samson SR850

THATS MY RECOMMENDATION! GIVE IT BACK!

In all seriousness though, they are great headphones for the price. I loved them till I decided to get some higher quality ones.

Seems like a good deal.
