I am loading up SR3 for the first time, and when I switch to 1920x1080, my tv switches to 1080i and shrinks the size of the screen for some reason. This is the only game I've seen that does this. I am using a 1080p plasma as a monitor and an ati 4890..

any ideas?

Have you enabled GPU scaling in CCC?

I figured it out... for anyone else having the problem

If you have a 4/5 series ATI card and are experiencing problems with DX10 & DX10.1 on a HDTV coming up as 1080i then do the following:

Go into Catalyst Control Panel and Under HDTV support, add 1080i@30Hz (NTSC) and add 1080p@60Hz (NTSC). You will now be able to display 1080p in DX10/10.1 games.
