I want to get a graphics card for my brother so he can actually play pc games with me. An intel HD 3000 just doesn't cut it. He can barely push 30 fps in Tribes on all low, 640x480. So yea, what's the cheapest gpu out there that can play pc games at medium settings preferably 60 fps, 1280x1024 resolution? Thanks.

Nah. Get a 7770. This one specifically.

Only $109.99 after rebate. Better than 6770, and practically the same price.

7770 if the PSU is good enough, 7750 if 300 watt or under.

All terrible options.

Get a used GTX 460 on ebay. They're going for 80 dollars on average.

Actually the 7770 I linked and the GTX460 are nearly the same in terms of performance, except the 7770 uses about half as much power (which in turn should also run cooler)

And sure $80 is less than $110, but for an extra $30 you're getting a new product with a warranty instead of used with no guarantee to even work.
