Personally I brought the cheapest tablet I could find and it's ain't bad , it's a little slow at time but still work very well for web browsing and games .

If you are not worried about size, just get one of those samsung phones. I got that small tablet from samsung (their cheaper models) and I love the size but my S3 is faster than that one but it has served its purpose to store the powerpoints for lectures.

Yeah pointless....UNLESS you need something more portable than a laptop, like, ya know, ALOT of people do...

Anyway, if you are AT ALL interested in also using your tablet for gaming than an iPad is your only choice. And the iPad 3 or 4 with Retna is going to be hands down the clearest screen for reading. I have an iPad Mini, but I am getting an iPad 4 to put my textbooks on this semester when I am finally continuing my college education. And the bigger and clearer screen for gaming won't hurt either.

nexus was great and all but no sd card slot really killed it for me.and no,i am not interested in their cloud crap.

iPad mini. I can't go with bigger tablets anymore because the mini is the perfect size.

Don't go with the ipad mini, The nexus 7 2nd gen just came out and its cheaper and more powerful.

Quite honestly you would be a fool to get a mini.
