Lets just say the OS and Xbox gold even out, for the sake of argument. Which one is more powerful? Would sacrificing the 7870 for, say, a 7850 2gb in order to get 8gb of ram be a good idea? Just a hypothetical.

Case comes with a PSU. Probably a horrible one, but it does have one.

You're right, I I think the budget can increase beyond $510 because of game discounts.

that 7870 is overpriced. You can get a 7950 for the same price. You can get a phenom ii x4 965 instead and overclock it. edit: wtf, is the 965 d/c'd? I don't see it on newegg and it's $130 on amazon. Just last month I saw it for $80.

Yeah I'm having trouble getting a 7950 to fit. I went for the 7870 over the 660ti because they're roughly equal but for nvidia charging like $60 more.

Hopefully I'll be able to convince friends to get a PC rather than the spyware that is the xbone with this build.
