I'm looking to put one in my PC build that in my signature.

Anyone know of any good ones that are cheap? I need it to support microSD cards and SDHC/SDXC cards.

I recommend using a mobile one, the ones you connect with an USB

Here is a cheap one:

i7-4770k | EVGA GeForce GTX770 2GB | Asus Sabertooth Z87 | Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
Samsung 840 120GB SSD | CM Storm Enforcer | Corsair TX 750 Watt

If I'm not mistaken, I've seen laptops with SD card readers so I assume there is some way to also bring that functionality to a desktop.

Does that support cards other than Transcend?

Yes it will. Brands generally don't matter so long as they follow the proper standard. So any SD card should work in it.

Micro SD cards are usually not supported by any SD Card Reader, instead, a Micro SD card (and even Mini SD cards) will come with an adapter that you stick them into that make them the size of a normal SD card, and then you stick the adapter into the SD Card Reader

If you have a spare external 3.5" bay here's a 75-in-1 card reader for a little over $10

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000EWJYYW/

They also make them for 5.25 bays but they're usually more expensive, in the $25-45 range.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there
