What are your thoughts on all-in-one PCs with touch screen monitors and Windows 8? You're paying for the touch monitor in exchange for usually lower-tier hardware inside. For $1000 you can get an i7 and Radeon 76xx plus a touch monitor, vs. i7 and 78-79xx in a conventional computer.

You already said it. What else do you want us to say? The screens are more expensive, so you get less performance for the same amount.

Never used one. Can you upgrade them like a regular desktop PC?

Most don't, but there are some unknown brands which use desktop GPUs that are upgrade-able.
