I really don't know much about this except my friend bought one and is telling me I should too. I got the page up, am about to purchase it. This is not meant for consumers but he assures me we can still play a few games through it. Any suggestions or anyone know something I don't? Is this ill-advised?

The new models will use higher resolution displays (which would be nice at the distances you'll be using them at), but if you want to jump in and have a go I don't think it'll disappoint. John Carmack's keynote at Quakecon has a lot of him talking about the things they want to implement (that aren't in the current model). I'd wait for it (being interested in the technical side of it), but don't let me put you off.

I have no idea what the compatibility is like though.
The best course of action is to just get the information you need, then get out while you're still alive. - destroy everything on GameFAQs
