I played the Dive Kick beta at PAX East, and it's the most fun I had in a fighting game in a LONG time. Do understand I've been playing Fighting games since Fatal Fury 2 on the NeoGeo, so I'm not just some scrub advertising.

Divekick is the world’s first two-button fighting game. It distills the essence of the fighting game genre into just two buttons with no d-pad directional movement. Divekick’s focused gameplay demonstrates how much depth a single move actually has, and introduces (or reinforces) skills fundamental to the genre: mind games, spacing, timing, and quick reactions.

At Iron Galaxy we love fighting games. To the average fan, most of what makes them fun is hidden behind a never-ending series of input combinations that they have to memorize. That’s why Divekick has just two buttons: Dive (into the air) makes your character jump straight up. Kick causes your character to fly foot first at a downward angle. If you press Kick on the ground, you can jump away from your opponent. Utilizing these moves, the first hit will win the round, and the player that wins five rounds first wins the game. It’s pure adrenaline, awareness, and outsmarting your enemy. It’s a fighting game deconstructed into its purest form.

13 Completely unique and original characters, each with their own fighting style and special techniques. That's 91 unique match-ups to play and learn.

....I don't even.

You haven't played the game, so your opinion means jack.

But I'm not surprised of your opinion; you have horrible taste in games.

You seem to have be confused with someone you. The only games I don't like are factually bad. Feel free to name some good games I don't like though seeing how you're my stenographer.

And the only "opinion" I referenced was that it SOUNDS terrible, which means playing it or not=/=irrelevant (but for the record I have played it, but nice of you to make baseless assumptions). I've never been run over by a steamroller either but if I said the prospect sounded unpleasant, my "opinion" wouldn't be valid because it hasn't happen? Nice logic there chief.

But I mean, feel free to pay most likely $15 for a 5 minute entertaining flash game, because you're apparently a connoisseur of quality.

It's been played at quite a few major tournaments.
It's more popular within the fighting game community since they see it as a fun parody game.

lol no.

Most fighting game fans dislike the game.At first? Sure, it was funny.
But after they wanted money from us to buy it? THat's when many of the people in the fighting game community began to juust say' enoughg is enough.' Seriously, a crappy looking game that you'd play back in middle school as a flash game ? Terrible.

A lot of people in the fighting game community just can't stand that something crappy like that is being shoved in tournaments. Of course you get dlc to buy bonuses to power your character up!

Never gonna buy this crappy game. As a membere of the fighting game community, I can honestly say this game as a terrible joke that should juust die already. Of course those that don't play fighting games will juust laugh at how 'crazy and wacky' it is that will make them pick it up. Not worth it.

Wrong, a crap ton of ppl in the FGC are looking forward to it. They see it as a fun side game and nothing more. Don't know where you're getting your info from the but the pros, community on SRK,Dustloop, kappa reddit,Marvel Reddit, WNF,NLBC,NeoGaf FGC members, and more are all digging the game.

The only time the game ever got hate was at UFGT8 when it had more screentime than other games, but that was expected since that tourney is ran by Keits the creator of divekick.

Some of you guys sound real scrubby. It's a game that started as a parody in the FGC and grew as the game actually turned out fun and strategic. I really don't think anybody "hates" it, and the beauty of it is in its initial simplicity that really turns into a lot of mindgames. All the in-jokes are funny too.
