looking to upgrade probably early next year, what would be some good suggestions? I want Metro Last Light Maxed at 1920X1080 @ 60Hz

Get another 7970.
i5 3570k @4.6ghz 120gb OCZ ssd, 2TB Barracuda , Corsair h60, GTX770,8gb Corsair ram, Xonar DG, CM690 ii (white) GS800 P8z77 VLX2

Early next year? I'm guessing the 8970/9970 will be out by then. The gtx 800 series should also launch sometime next year.

You'll definitely need CF/SLI to max M:LL.

7990 got recent price drop to $700

next radeon supposed to be October or so

GTX 780 isn't too much faster so I'd wait or get the 7990

Single 7970 would get below 30 fps with very high/ssaa settings @ 1920x1200

I want to also upgrade the CPU as well. What combination of the two would be good? I was thinking HD7990 with an i7-4770K or should I wait for new chips and cards?
