I prefer the PlayStation design. If I am playing a game like Rayman Origins or DuckTales Remastered the d-pad should be located where it would be on an SNES controller.

The correct answer isn't available.

Kinect motion capture ftw
Is this even legal?

I've always been a Sony guy, and I still use a DS3 with motionjoy on PC.
360 style isn't bad, but it takes too long to get used to it, and whenever I use it, I'm terrible for about ten minutes until I regain muscle memory needed to use a different controller.

Don't really prefer either. I can, and do, play with both. Although I am using a wired 360 controller for my PC, but that's because of P&P.

Asymmetrical analog placement is terrible. It's designed specifically for shooters, so it's not as good for other genres of games. Symmetrical placement on the other hand is suitable for any type of game... and (perhaps more importantly) is more suitable for lefties.

what, I don't even see how that would be a handicap for any handedness

everyone I know that is left handed vastly prefers asymmetrical
then again, only one has had the wii u controller, the rest have been stuck with dual shock

Depends on what I'm playing. I prefer the xbox layout for racers, 3d action games, etc. Prefer the dpad of the PS3 for 2d games and fighters.

I miss the controllers I used to see for the PS2 and Xbox that would let you move any of the face parts. You could put the sticks both on one side if you wanted to, you could put the d-pad on top or bottom, etc.
Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.

definitely sony

if you can't picture this, if it's higher and closer to the index, your thumb is not using the stronger lower half of your opposable strength, hence degress less of accuracy and cramps when using xbox controller for long periods

Or maybe I'm a wrestler so part of my lifting regimen is finger strength, so I don't falter in any amount of time of simply playing video games.

The average human being shouldn't have a problem either way. It's basically nothing.
