It probably won't last the entire next gen console generation on high settings at 1080p. You could always get another in a year or two when they'll be even cheaper.

Hypothetically, yeah it could last as long as a generation of consoles.

Only problem is it will really show it's age over the years. Less than the consoles will, but still. You'll want to upgrade.

There just really isn't any 10 year solution, be it a console or a PC.

PS4 and xboned games will be optimized for APU only. Intel 3570k/3770k/4670k, nvidea gpu and even amd gpu will not be able to handle the console games. Only APU.

They're cheap enough now or at least they were. One was on sale for about $178 on Newegg yesterday. It looks like it's sold out now, though.

You can't ever be guaranteed to not have to upgrade.
That card should be "enough" for at least three years, but sometime down the road, it will fall behind in terms of driver support and developers targeting stronger hardware

Just look at Crysis 3, it works on the 360/PS3, but even the highest end DX10 setup won't be able to start the game

I think I heard it on this board. In the time span of a console generation, you'll save enough money buying pc games on sale to pay for a new Graphics card. That and most games don't require a fee to use online multiplayer.
