I have 3 monitors. It is great for gaming (5760 x 1080 is awesome!) Besides that, it is amazing for work. i can have an article open on one screen, a spread sheet on the other and a word document in the middle.

I just have one.

Why? Because I need to see what I'm doing.

The purpose? To see the work I'm doing and the games I'm playing.

2, while gaming I have CPU/GPU monitors on the other screen. When not gaming I usually have youtube, netflix, or football on the second screen while I surf webs and don't afraid of anything.

I have 2 monitors. a 27" monitor and a 42" tv. I like to multitask so I almost always have one of the screens with a movie or something on it while I'm playing on the other screen.

I game on three monitors and I will never go back to one monitor. Trust me once you try it, one monitor will seem to small.

Just one. Unless you are juggling tons of different programs for work, I don't see a way to justify more. The whole super-wide gaming thing just doesn't do it for me.
