I'd like to try the game, but I don't want microtransactions or ads.

What? Magic 2014 on steam doesn't have either of those.
The only "dlc" currently are sealed slots. You get 2 free and you can buy up to 18. The rest of the game is free, you can buy foil effects and unlock decks by paying, but you can just play for that.

Also, Chess is a game of skill much like all gameplay only video games. So it is pretty mindless if you think about it.-mtjormitch

What? There are no micro transaction. There is time saver DLC if you're like me and wants to save time and be competent online on day 1. Don't waste you time with those extra Seal Decks DLC, That is a waste and hardly anyone plays that online.

I also hate how when ever a game has time Saver DLC then people say "oh this game has Micro Transaction". Bro you don't have to buy them, it's just for saving time and doesn't give you an edge.

This is also true.

Technically, it is a micro transaction.
