So, my PC build is now completed (see http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/916373-pc/67045140), but I still need a keyboard and mouse.

I will be sitting 8 feet away from the PC. I know that wireless is worse so I'll be getting wired. I'll probably need an extension cord or something (unless the keyboard comes with an 8 foot cord but I doubt there are many like that). If I could plug the mouse into the keyboard and the keyboard into the PC, that would save a hassle.

I'm looking for a keyboard, preferably mechanical, for under $80, but I could go to $100 if I had to. I don't know so much about mouses but I'll say $80-100 as well.

I've seen Razers and Logitech but some of the reviews say the quality is poor.

Unless you are a pro gamer, you really don't need anything else, and yes you need an extension since they are 6.25 feet long.

I'm not a pro but I would like something with low latency and made of high quality material.

I think I'll get the K65. It's small and high quality without being too pricey.

I know nothing about mouses, though. Can anyone suggest a good mouse?

"gaming" equipment is usually a rip off. The exception to this being something like the Logitech G400, which is advertised as a gaming mouse when in reality it's just a really good mouse.
