I'm interested too. Mainly for emulators of PSP/DS and Pre-PS2 games. I would also like something to stream Netflix to my living room TV and the Shield has a mini-hdmi cable. The PC game streaming is a nice bonus.

Yeah, and at 299$, it's not a bad price or too much of a risk if it doesn't take off!

I was thinking vita for streaming but I don't want a PS4. I could sell my vita and ps3 (which I never use and get a shield)

The only issue I have is that as of right now the shield won't stream with laptops- even if it is a gaming laptop

I got a 3G vita with a couple games bundled with it for $200 (plus a year of PS plus), seemed like the better deal to me and I'd never use the streaming.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there

I was very interested until i thought of 2 things.

1. i was really exited to play say Skyrim by my pool. But then i realised, there's no way the signal is going to reach that far. In fact i doubt the range will reach anywhere else i'd rather play in my house. My couch? I might as well just play Skyrim on my HTPC.

2. $300 to play games near my computer. Yeah not worth it.

A portable device to stream PC games is pretty pointless. Especially when you consider things like control issues, latency, unreadable GUI, etc. I can't imagine anyone other than the most anti-console fanboys wanting this over a Vita, 3DS or modded PSP. If you like gaming on portables that much, those are all way better choices, you get the PC library on your PC and different games for your portable.

Anyone think they'll allow wifi streaming outside of the local wifi network eventually? That would kick ass.

If you have unlimited 4G data, you could always use your phone as a hotspot.
