Save up $250 more or so and buy an Asus PB278Q.

No way I'm spending that much on a monitor. $300 is pushing it for me considering I recently spent $1,200 on building my PC and $900 on a 59'' HDTV.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Qnix one, but can't speak from experience as I don't have one. Just don't expect to get a perfect monitor since it's a Korean monitor and is being shipped overseas.
I5 3570k @ 4.5ghz, 12 gigs DDR3 memory, Asrock Z77 Extreme 4, 2x EVGA GTX 670 4gb SC sli, Seasonic 750w PSU, ASUS 24" monitor, 2x 23" Acer Monitors

I have had the Qnix for 2 weeks, having been using a 37" 1080p tv for a while. This thing is AWESOME! I remember when I went from a cheap 19" when they were... i think 1600x1200... and I went to a widescreen for the first time and I was like DAMN x_X. This is the same thing. Best graphics update you can do is add more resolution. I highly suggest it. Mine only has 1 dead pixel in the top right, I literally CANNOT see it at normal viewing distance. Only if I put my face up to the monitor. I got the glossy one, so pretty. All my games look damned good in 1440. The desktop is super sharp from the crazy pixel density of this thing compared to a 37" 1080p. The funny thin is that my tv is still in the same spot against my wall and I put the monitor on my desk, the monitor basically has the same "viewing range" meaning that the monitor being a little closer, the edges of the monitor line up with the edges of the TV. So I get the same viewing size "closer", but much higher resolution and pixel density.
