It's all about momentum and spotting your path before you get there. If you screw up, its slow and monotonous. If you get things just right, its graceful and satisfying. Its not a hard game to complete, but it is a difficult game to master.
I have the problem of not finishing a lot of the games I play, but Mirror's Edge wasn't one of them. The game for the most part felt fresh enough to keep me interested without feeling like it got repetitive. Took me 8-ish hours to beat (although at least 90 minutes of that was just from the final "boss" encounter. **** was rage-inducing).
