gt70 apparently has throttling issues because of its cooling system but it should still be pretty powerful. i'd opt for a similarly spec'd alienware (upgrade the 770m to 780m), about $2300 which comes with better warranty and service. put in your own 256 GB ssd for ~$160 and you should be set

If you're set on a laptop there is no reason not waiting for Volcanic and Maxwell. They are both supposed to be massive upgrades.

Volcanic is AMD's upcoming GPU series, due out in October.
Maxwell is the codename for Nvidia's upcoming GPUs, due out sometime around Q1 2014.

So do you guys think existing gaming laptops will be able to handle next gen games? I didn't know if the new consoles would represent big jumps technologically that would require a new line of GPUs.
