Sitting at ~5.4GB/8 with Chrome on both displays with about 6 tabs each, iTunes, Skype and Steam. I wish I went for 16 now.

If your motherboard supports it, just buy some more. It's seriously like $40 for 4GBs on newegg.

the problem is ur running all that nonsense, thats why you need more useless ram, thats the problem nowadays, to many people doing to much at once, get over yourself.

When something is this cheap why not have a lot of it? Just because someone has more ram than you doesn't mean that they're full of themselves. It's the cheapest part of someone's rig. Having a quad sli setup or a Titan is far more gratuitous.

RAM isn't cheap now. It's nearly doubled in price since I built this PC two years ago. Unless prices fall dramatically, I'm going to be 'making do' with 8GB for a long time.

It's around $10 a GB for gaming level ram... That's pretty cheap. I don't understand why this topic was created. Was it so TC could complain about people who buy more than 8gb of ram?

no i am talking about the best of the best ram the xtrm series not some cheap crap. hell no its not 10 bucks.
