So I have a 960T right now and just some Am3+ Gigabyte motherboard (it was a budget build.

I probably won't buy anything until at least Black Friday deals come around, but I'd still like to know what to look for in case there is a deal beforehand

I definitely want to go Intel, and about $250 for both CPU and Mobo

Sounds like an i5-4430 and one or the other H87 motherboard.

The 4670K + MSI PC Mate is the closest good one that I see there.

If that's still too much money for too little performance, a 4670K + a good Z87 for $250 should definitely be doable by/on Black Friday. Also, it seems that there are a lot of good deals on PC parts in October and November, not just Black Friday, so keep an eye out.
