guys help me out. He doesn't seem to understand, the only reason he won't buy it is because it's "bad". That's all he'll say and won't give me a real answer as to why he won't. Can you guys give me some reasons for him to get it?

Don't make him get it. He is clearly afraid of the game because he knows there is no ezmode and he won't be able to make it through the first area. Leave him be.

I thought I chose very easy, not brand new to the game. - CheesyPhil

I played the game to completion on the ps3 and never thought it was very good either. reminded me of a better version of Enclave back on the original xbox.

I didn't hate the game but it wasn't something that stood out to me as something special.

That's because Dark Souls is bad.

You should probably give up, that game isn't worth even $7.50.

Maybe he doesn't want to buy a bad game?
How would you like it if someone tried to convince you to buy Big Rigs Over the Road Racing?

Just keep telling him that the only reason he won't buy it is because he knows he won't be able to beat it. Eventually you won't be friends anymore or he'll buy it to 'prove you wrong'.

Because it is bad.

I get the appeal of it, I'm stomped my way through the game (god the combat is easy if you've spent hundreds of hours in Monster Hunter), but its not a good game. Theres a LOT of design decisions that exist solely to make the game more difficult/confusing/complex.
