kinda like if a robber comes in your house and looks at this shiny new computer...and there is another computer right beside it that looks like it was from the 80s....which one would he grab? the new one

not knowing that the 80s actually had top tier performing parts in it

i dunno what i'm trying to say...but do people ever mod old towers to fit in modern PC parts?

if so i'd like to see them!

Reminds me of people driving in model T's and other super old cars on the road, it looks cool but I would rather be caught dead than drive those things around.

I half-assedly tried one time. But it turned out that it was going to be a little bit more work than I thought at the time.

But if a person had the time and motivation I bet it could be done.

Yeah, a fair number of people do that. Some people even modify the aesthetics of those old beige towers from the '90s. Saw one mod where a guy wet sanded the s*** out of one of those old Compaq Presario cases and painted it in a silver mirror finish.

If someone made custom desk to fit all the parts of computer I presume that would weigh a ("literal") ton and probably be difficult for one person to steal.
I have built - Minus a few parts.

Oh you can guarantee someone has. PC case modders are crazy like that ;p I've seen a guy turn an old foot stool into a top of the line computer before. Also a case is that one thing you really don't have to replace for a stupidly long time if you are willing to drill some holes and bust out a dremel once it gets a bit older.

I had a Poseidon tower bought in 2005, along with the PC parts decent for the time

8 year later, I took all my old parts out and fitted in new more up-to-date parts. Only thing missing is a DVD-Drive due to incompatible cables.

Is that counted?

Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.
