intel will only release new desktop cpus every two (2) years for desktop with a refresh in between

no, next year they'll release 4770k slightly enhanced @ 22nm..14nm is only for laptop and will come to desktop 2015 with skylake

On the bright side, their enthusiast-level CPUs will no longer be over a generation behind their standard desktop CPUs.

i really hope skylake is 8 core..i'm not upgrading cpu until 8 core is the new standard
