The front of the R4 has one fan and it's a 3 pin connector. "OK" I say to myself. I try to plug it into the mobo in "chassis fan 2" but the wire isn't long enough. It doesn't reach any of the fan plugs on my atx mobo. So I try plugging it into the 2 pin connector and that obviously doesn't work and I don't know what it's for how to use it. So what I am wondering is how the hell am I suppose to plug this fan in (and if I get another one on top)?

I think your case has a fan controller, connect your fans to that.

Edit: It does, found this image.

Make sure you connect the molex plug to the psu.

Ohhh ok so the molex cable that came with the case, plug that into the PSU's female molex cables then plug my female 3 pin fan to the male 2 pin that is shown in the picture?

Yep. My case is a Fractal Define XLR2; same deal with the molex fan controller.

I'm not sure if your case came with low-voltage fan adapters or not (I can't remember if they came with my case or the extra fans I bought), but they make their Silent Series fans whisper quiet.

Huh. I had length to spare plugging in my front fan with the R4. Maybe it's the layout of our motherboards being different.
