I asked a while back before I had the money, but I wanted to run it by you guys one more time to get advice on an upgrade I'm about to do before I actually drop the cash on it.

CPU - Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116899

MB - GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD3H LGA 1150 Intel Z87
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128592

GPU - EVGA 04G-P4-3777-KR GeForce GTX 770 Classified 4GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130936

RAM - G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460

PSU - Rosewill FORTRESS-750 750W 80 PLUS PLATINUM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182084

Obviously, this is a gaming rig I want to use for some time. I can spend a little bit more if something is worth the upgrade. Also, I may drop in a second vid card down the road for SLI.

Thoughts?

Why are you stuck on the Fortress? Not that it's a bad unit, but you can have units of similar quality for much cheaper;

Slightly lower boost and core clock but significantly cheaper.

Oh I'm not "stuck" on anything. Quite the opposite. That's why I was asking before I actually made this purchase.

That PSU does seem like a good replacement for the one I have listed. Many thanks for that.

This is a good deal on a solid power supply. I concur.

I looked around on Google. I can't find what the real difference is between Bronze and Platinum certified is, other than a small percentage increase.

Is this one of those cases where it's not worth it?

Most reviews I've read say that the difference between a 770/780 isn't enough to justify the price. I also like that the card I've picked has 4gb of vid ram.

Is there an equivalent 780 with that much ram/price?
