The 7950 for $190 is a better deal IMO.

Doesn't seem to be in stock at Newegg as of now. Couldn't find it at Amazon.

How does this compare?

It does seem very similar, but the HIS card shows 1250mhz effective memory clock and the Sapphire card shows 5000Mhz. Not sure what that is.

The 1250 is the gpu clock and the 5000 is the memory clock. Two different things. The same GPU will perform almost exactly the same with different brands. It just depends if you like a certain company, or need unlocked voltage, or like one cooling system better than another.

They got the info mixed up. The clock rate of the 7950 is 1250. It uses GDDR5 memory which is quad data rate so the "effective" clock rate is 5000MHz. Basically means it performs as if it were at 5000Mhz.

Both the HIS and Sapphire and almost every other 7950 has a 1250MHz base memory clock rate and a 5000MHz effective clock rate.

So basically what im saying is both cards will perform the same

Thanks. Looks like the HIS card dropped by $20. Just hoping Amazon matches it soon. How is HIS compared to Sapphire? Better brands out there?

Price of the HIS dropped today at Amazon. Placed an order immediately. Appreciate all the help. Should I overclock it? Also, how many Watts would I need if I had two of these?

Yes you should overclock it and I'd go with 600+ to be safe

Thanks. Just got it in. Not sure where to start with the OC process. Should I use the software it came with? I think it's called iTurbo.

Edit: BTW, my current temps for GPU are around 32 degrees. How high will it be once it's overclocked?
