Mainly for ring finger and pinky finger support to fit in the palm of my hand.

That is kind of hard. To my knowledge, only the "ergonomically shaped" mice provide support for ring and pinky finger.

When I Think non-ergonomic optical mouse I think of mice like the Zowie FK, WMO, IME etc.

I'm a little confused by what you mean as well. Ambidextrous, non-ergo mice like the FK (which I have and love) don't have special support for fingers. I mean, that's exactly why they are not called ergonomic mice.

I'm looking for an old fashioned basic shape as this. Nothing fancy except 2 thumb buttons, 1600 dpi, optical tech.

Zowie AM/FK are better. All of the Steelseries mice have some inherent flaws with them (usually acceleration or prediction).

Zowie FK is indeed fantastic, but rather pricey. TC, if you don't mind the low DPI you could track down an IMO 1.1 since they're still pretty solid.

yeah there's not a single steelseries mouse with a top-tier sensor unless a new one came out recently
