For single player, as low as the mid-high 20s is usually workable depending on genre. For multiplayer it's less about the framerate than the stability. I'd take a dead stable 30 over a spiky 60 any day, but stable 60 is obviously preferred

i use dxtory to limit my fps to 30,my graphics card sounds like a jet engine and it gets on my nerves.I prefer a bit of judder over fan noise

30+ is ideal for me with respect to single player games.
60+ for any FPS or Multiplayer / Shooter.

I will not play any title at 25 FPS or below.

Playable for me is 24+. If it can stay at 24fps and above then that's fine. Anything lower just causes issues for me. I'm used to playing 60+ though.......however, some of my older games ONLY run @ 25-30fps [BS console ports to PC etc].

It depends on the game. Whenever it becomes so bad that it's a distraction from the action... The thing is, I upgrade my video card every couple of years and I don't buy cheap garbage cards so this is rarely an issue.

I am picky with fps framerate... it must be 40 at least.
